Jenni’s Why: To seek out connections with others so that together we can make a greater impact collectively.
Everyone loves a good story. Whether a movie, tv-show, podcast, or book. I’m no different, but I’ve always had an unwavering connection to visual mediums. I believe in my bones that a picture is worth more than a thousand words, and everyone has something to share. So, I bring that into my work.
I am a passionate multimedia content creator who cares about strengthening a story’s impact. As the content manager at Seventh Scout, I produce video, photo, and written content for our clients. When creating content, I incorporate journalistic values and methods of storytelling with marketing tactics. I want to make sure that our audience finds actual value in what they consume. But, they have to see it first. So, I also focus on implementing the best SEO practices to ensure our clients reach their audience. This new approach to curating multimedia content enhances the brand and reach of our clients.
Before moving to Austin in spring 2021, I was a morning news producer and reporter at KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington. My goal was to increase the viewership of my show both over-the-air and digitally while providing the most accurate information and fun show each morning. I moved into the full-time positions following an internship with the station. I graduated from Washington State University in 2018 with a degree in Journalism & Media Production. Can I get a “Go Cougs!”
You can almost always find me with my camera or a spicy margarita in hand outside of the office. I’m always looking for the next place to explore, whether a hiking trail or a new menu. So, if you got any suggestions, let me know!
