New Meridian
Reimagining educational assessments
New Meridian is an education development company determined to advance student learning through assessment equity. The relationship between Seventh Scout and New Meridian began in 2018 when our agency first received a work referral from their former marketing partners. Things really kicked off in 2020 when New Meridian looked to transform its bank of assessment questions into an online resource center for educators.
Since then, Seventh Scout and New Meridian have deepened our relationship to include a much larger scope of work, as New Meridian has grown from a young company into a trusted nonprofit organization by educators nationwide.
One of the key visual elements that we incorporated into website design was the “meridian shift” shape inspired by the details of the New Meridian logo symbol. This upward shift represents a new way of illuminating student progress in areas that most: critical thinking, problem solving, and communication.
Solutions Branding
As part of our work with New Meridian we designed a set of symbols and identity lock-ups for their new suite of solutions. The appearance of the Symbols for New Meridian Solutions are based upon the unique characteristics of the Symbol from the company logo.
The visual characteristics of Solutions symbol artwork are derived from qualities found in the symbol from the company logo, such as line weight variation, horizontal movement, diagonal movement, and smooth curvature.
