At Seventh Scout, we don’t believe in marketing just for the sake of it. When HR Green came to us, it wasn’t because they had a broken website. In fact, their existing website had served them well. But like any thriving company, HR Green was growing, and their website needed to grow with them.
This wasn’t about chasing trends. It was about building a future-ready platform that could evolve alongside their expanding team, services, and market presence. Together, we embarked on a website redesign and refresh, guided by strategy, brand integrity, and user experience.
Seventh Scout delivered a website redesign that’s as thoughtful as it is beautiful! The team didn’t just refresh our look—they reimagined the entire experience. With a cleaner design, improved navigation, and a more intuitive structure, our site is now faster, more secure, and easier to use across all devices. From smarter content filtering in our Insights section to enhanced state location pages and a flexible framework for future content, every detail reflects their strategic and user-focused approach. Their attention to detail and intuitive creativity made the entire experience feel seamless and inspired. We couldn’t be more impressed with the Seventh Scout team!

Navigating Growth with a Customized Legacy System
HR Green’s previous website was custom-built on an unsupported theme. It worked, but it was only a matter of time until a new WordPress update came along and rendered the site unusable due to unsupported updates. Though technically stable, the backend was clunky, fragile, and increasingly difficult for the internal team to update without risk. With thousands of pages and content types mapped to individual Advanced Custom Fields (ACFs), even small changes required big lifts.
As the company expanded its geographic footprint and service lines, the need for a more scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital presence became clear. Plus, they were adding new content—including nearly 50 new posts and pages, and existing copy updates—while we prepped for migration.
And then there was the great unknown: what exactly was under the hood of that custom theme?
Previous HR Green Website
While "website work" isn't something I do on a usual basis, the HR Green website refresh allowed me to not only work on the back end of a website, making sure everything was optimized, but also through the lens of a first-user as we worked as a team to identify flaws or bugs. Overall, it was a fun experience to see a brand we've worked alongside for years really flourish in utilizing their full brand identity and offering their nationwide audience an improved user experience!

2025 Website Redesign Approach
More Than a Redesign—A Digital Rebuild with Purpose
From day one, this was a true partnership. HR Green didn’t hand us a checklist. After working together since 2022, they trusted us to help identify what needed improvement based on knowledge of their audience and goals, content strategy, and backend performance data. And because we already had a strong working relationship, we were able to act on what we knew would deliver results.
Strategic Planning
We started with a full content and field inventory, identifying custom post types, hidden designations, and areas of redundancy. The sheer volume of the site made this no small feat, but it gave us the clarity we needed to restructure from the inside out.
Improved Information Architecture
We reorganized the site’s structure to make navigation more intuitive for real users—clients, prospects, job seekers, and even current employees. We introduced a brand-new Elementor mega menu, supported on both desktop and mobile, to improve findability without complicating the backend.
Design & Branding Refresh
HR Green had robust brand guidelines. We made sure the new site used them in a holistic natureeverywhere. From typography and iconography to service categorization and location content, we ensured consistency and elevated the visual cohesion of the entire experience.
Empowering the Internal Team
Usability wasn’t just for the front end. We built with Elementor to give HR Green’s marketing and communications teams more autonomy and protection. Structured fields and supported tools help prevent accidental errors or vulnerabilities. We provided live training, cheat sheets, and ongoing support to help them feel confident managing their site long-term.
The most rewarding part of this project was creating a navigation scheme and user experience that really showcased the breadth and depth of HR Green's services and expertise and presented that information elegantly across various device sizes. The team at HR Green were wonderful to work with and they provided valuable guidance on ensuring the website design aligned with the company's brand identity.

Relaunched HR Green Website
This website refresh is a true testament to how much success can come from collaboration. From reviewing page mockups to quality control testing to training the HR Green team on day-to-day backend use of the new site, every single person brought thoughtfulness and attention to detail to the table! With a site as large and content-rich as theirs, that's no easy feat. There were a lot of moving pieces happening at once, but throughout each point it felt like both teams were in perfect lockstep along the way of this build! It’s always rewarding when at the end of the day, it wasn't just the work that was so enjoyable, but the people you worked with.

Stronger Infrastructure, Smarter Navigation, Sharper Brand Presence
Stability & Security
A more modern, secure backend means better performance and peace of mind for both users and admins.
Improved Navigation
Our new mega menu makes it easier to explore HR Green’s extensive services, insights, and locations with fewer clicks and more clarity.
Better UX for Insight Content
We enhanced the Insights section with filters, color coding, featured image previews, and categories by market and service type. Finding relevant content now feels less like searching for a needle in a haystack, but now, more like browsing a curated library.
Enhanced State Location Pages
Each state office now has its own dedicated page, featuring key contacts, services, photos, and location info—all accessible directly from the main menu.
Services Aligned with Internal Structure
The updated Services section mirrors HR Green’s actual organizational structure and terminology, helping external messaging match internal operations.
Events and News—Now Separate
We split News and Events into distinct areas to improve the user experience. Visitors can now easily browse company updates or see which conferences HR Green is speaking at or attending next.
Mobile Experience Reimagined
Mobile UX was one of the biggest upgrades. The old site struggled to serve users on the go. The new version works beautifully across all devices—whether you’re on a job site, in a meeting, or halfway across the country.
Careers Page Overhaul
Without being asked, we updated the Careers section to better showcase open roles, company culture, and opportunities simply because we knew it mattered. Through our relationship with HR Green, we’ve emphasized the importance of showcasing the people behind a brand, and the Careers section was the perfect opportunity to really show life at HR Green.
A Little Something Extra
As a nod to our creative partnership, we tucked a little Easter egg into the site—an ode to the classic Konami Code:
↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A
It’s a reminder that even in serious work, there’s always room for fun.
HR Green’s website needed a refresh that kept what worked while fixing what didn’t. Together, we strengthened security, clarified design, and made it easier for clients to find what they need. Serious work, a hidden Easter egg, and a site ready for what’s next… thanks to a team that knows how to “Be Nice. Make Better.”
Lynn Yeldell, Seventh Scout
A company’s website is never really “done.” But with this refresh, HR Green has a digital home that can keep up with their growth, reflect their brand, and empower their people. And that’s what better looks like.
