Rodrigo Macazaga - Website Developer
Hello everyone! I’m Rodrigo. I was born and raised in Mexico City, but currently live in the Austin area.
The first time I had real contact with a computer was when I was 10 years old. That’s when I discovered how passionate I am about technology and electronics. Five years ago, I joined the Seventh Scout team as a programmer and web developer. I have a lot of pride in being apart of a company with a mission that goes hand in hand with my values in life.
For more than 20 years, I have dedicated myself to programming, and designing web pages, systems, applications, hosting, servers, and everything around the world of the Internet.
I love always being up-to-date. This is one of the reasons I love inventing things in my “free time!” Not that I have much of that, but I try to make the best of it between work, family, and living life.
Our team is working on a lot of exciting projects. I know this coming year will bring a lot of good surprises we are excited to share!
Seven Questions With Kristin
What are three words to describe you?
I’m hardworking, I’m passionate, and I’m friendly.
What led you to this career?
Since I was a kid, I watched my father program software, and that awakened a lot of curiosity in me. I built my first website when I was 12. So, I think by watching my dad, it brought me where I am right now.
What's the most interesting part of your job with Seventh Scout?
Something that I love about my work is that every project is different. It’s a new challenge. So you never get bored in this industry.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
I like to spend time with my daughters and my wife. Maybe make something fun, go to Top Golf, or another fun place like the movies.
What's your favorite place for a bite or drink in the ATX area?
I like Fogo de Chao, and for Mexican tacos, One Taco!
Do you have any secret talents or hidden hobbies?
I love airplanes. So I started flying my RC airplanes when I was 13. And nowadays I fly with my flight simulator.
What’s your favorite emoji?
The celebration party emoji! I like like to celebrate. I always try to be happy and with a big smile, so that’s the one that I always have ready! 🎉
