Lynn Yeldell - Owner
In prepping for this, I asked my family what three words they would use to describe me. My nieces, Stephanie and Caroline, said connector, resilient, caring, and selfless, my sister-in-law, Michelle, replied charisma, my partner Elizabeth referred to me as inspiring, visionary, and kind. I was just amazed that they played along and with such powerful words. And then, my mother replied with, “POOR PEOPLE PERSON!!!!!!!!!” Yes, it was in all caps with that many exclamation points. May we all be surrounded by a family and a team who supports you, motivates you, and grounds you. Love you, Mom! I know that you are all three in my life!

Seven Questions With Lynn
What are three words to describe you?
Curious, Collaborative, Resourceful
What led you to this career?
My formal education is in Finance and Economics which is why I started my career in Financial Services. My job relocated me after Hurricance Katrina and just a few years later, I was back in Austin. The start-up scene engergized and intrigued me. Seventh Scout is the perfect outlet for my business background and passion for helping others!
What's the most interesting part of your job with Seventh Scout?
That I get to work with a talented, creative, and kind group of humans with a diverse group of clients. I love the stability of our team as I guess I resist change at my core. But, our clients bring us new and challenging opportunities each week which keeps the work interesting and rewarding.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
That is a tough one! If it is a rainy, dreary day, I love staying home with a good college football game on and cooking. I also love a trail and day at the park with my dogs. I have so many ways I like to spend a day…and promise that I have never wasted a day off!
What's the best advice you were ever given and who was it from?
“Focus on your strengths rather than your weaknesses” – Linda Glass, Leadership Coach
What is something you draw inspiration from?
Travel! Whether it is a long trip to an exotic locale or a quick drive down the road to a new haunt, I love to get out of my familiar (and my head!). Travel inspires me by having new and unexpected experiences. And it also grounds me in reminding me how similar we humans all are!
What's your most used emoji?
SMH or the person facepalming. Says a lot! 🤦♀️
