Designing the online presence for one of the nation’s largest health foundations

With a bold set of strategic priorities, St. David’s Foundation needed a website that would educate the public on their community-based efforts. A complete re-imagining of the site architecture was aligned with a design overhaul to produce a new site that better served their growing audience.

St. David’s Foundation believes that Central Texas can become the healthiest community in the world. That’s the vision that guides the work at St. David’s Foundation. The investments they make in collaboration with their grant partners are helping transform the lives of Central Texans and establishing new benchmarks for community health.

As one of the largest philanthropic organizations in Central Texas, the Foundation makes grants to innovative organizations ready to solve problems and bring good health into reach for all Central Texans. St. David’s Foundation wanted their digital presence to match their innovative approach to grant-making and serve as an information platform for potential grant partners and the general public to learn more about their important work.

St. David’s Foundation’s goal in approaching the re-design of their main site was to create a clean, easy to navigate experience for visitors to learn about the Foundation and the grant partners they work with:
A responsive experience that offered a visually interesting experience across multiple devices

Craft a modern, yet people-focused, visual design aesthetic

Ensure that the site platform allowed for easy updating by Foundation staff as well as continue to evolve with functionality and content additions

Serve as a marketing and communications channel to house multiple types of assets – from photo galleries to video clips

A bright, clean color palette and large, people-focused photography help to communicate the Foundations’s mission. An easy to use CMS allows for quick updates by staff and an optimized technology platform ensures a smooth user experience across multiple devices.
